An overview of recommended cleaning methods for entrance solutions.
The table below provides an overview of the recommended cleaning methods and cleaning agents for your entrance products. Please note that an entrance product may consist of different materials, so more than one cleaning method may apply.
MATERIAL | CLEANING METHOD |
Glass |
Clean the glass with glass cleaner. |
Powder-coated aluminium |
Clean the surface with a sponge, water and a mild alcohol-based cleaning agent. Avoid using cleaning products containing acid-based ingredients! Dry the surface of the machine with a dry cotton cloth. |
Anodised aluminium |
For regular cleaning of anodised aluminium, soap-based products with a pH value between 6 and 8 can be used. Ensuring that the cleaning products used do not contain chlorine is important. A mild ammonia-chlorine solution can be used with caution. Whether you choose this solution or soap-based products, always rinse the cleaned surfaces thoroughly with plenty of water afterwards. |
Stainless steel |
To ensure optimal results, clean the surface using a specialised stainless steel polish and cleaner, typically an alcohol-based product. |
Polycarbonate | Always handle polycarbonate with care, as it is highly scratch-sensitive. Clean the surface using warm, soapy water and a soft microfibre cloth. A small amount of dish soap is sufficient, but an antistatic cleaner is recommended for added protection against static charge and dust attraction. Avoid using sharp tools to remove tape or stickers, which can damage the protective coating. |
Draft brushes |
Clean the draft brushes of a revolving door set using a vacuum cleaner. |
Entrance mat/floor mat |
Clean the entrance mat/floor mat using a vacuum cleaner. |
