What should I do if my revolving door experiences a malfunction?
Most reported malfunctions (about 80%) are not actual technical issues, even though they are logged as such. The automatic door is likely functioning correctly, and the problem can be resolved quickly.
If your revolving door indicates a malfunction, start by checking the following:
- Is the key switch set to 1 (Day Mode)?

-
Is the emergency stop button unlocked?
A common and quickly resolved issue occurs when the emergency stop of an automatic revolving door has been activated. Sometimes, someone may accidentally press the emergency stop button without notifying the staff. This can lead to a false report of a malfunction when, in fact, the door is functioning correctly.
If the emergency stop is activated, the revolving door will stop functioning entirely. Fortunately, this can be quickly resolved by pulling out the emergency stop button. Always check if the emergency stop has been pressed when the revolving door stops working unexpectedly.
-
Have you cleaned all the sensors?
Automatic revolving doors are equipped with sensors and rubber buffers with contacts to ensure user safety. Dirt can obstruct these highly sensitive sensors, potentially causing the door to operate less smoothly.
This also applies to motion sensors, which detect when someone approaches the door and activate its movement. Regular cleaning of the sensors helps prevent such issues. It is recommended that the door sensors be cleaned weekly using a damp microfiber cloth, followed by a dry microfiber cloth to avoid scratches. - Is the revolving door receiving power?
Tip: Stand in the sensor area of the door. The door power is on if you hear a clicking sound from the sensor. -
Are the night doors (roller doors) open?
-
Is the status indicator on your control panel displaying an error code?
